Bachelorette Party

Here are some pictures (backwards in order) from Sarah's Bachelorette Party!

This is me and Sarah - towards the end of the night.........oh so hammered Sarah is..........

This is me and Natalie - she is pretending to make out with me. This is one of like 20 pictures she took........it was quite hilarious.

This is Sarah, Ray, Nat, me and Abba (AKA Fernando) when we first got to the club. We were upstairs in the VIP section. Although I am not really sure what the VIP section really got us but constantly looking around for our friends and going up and down stairs a lot.......

This is Capt. Morgan - Sarah and Abba's friend

Abba - Everyone got to take a picture wearing Sarah's Bride to Be Sash......it was great.

I was going to bring back kung fu fighting if I won Miss Bride to be America.

This is the bride to be at the restaurant - we (after many drinks) finally convinced the bride to wear something for about 1 minute that night. She said she would not wear anything bride like and she meant it. Everyone else on the other hand totally wanted to wear it!

This is the crew at the Restaurant, Fuego - awesome food and great atmosphere - service, not so hot. Crew, very hot.

Blah........

It is Wednesday and I am ready to be done with work. It's cloudy and cool (for GA) and only 2:00 pm and I have 3.5 hours left. I downloaded Book 5, chapters 1 and 2 of Harry Potter on my Nano. I can't wait to go running after work so I can start listening to it. My friend Leigh gave me Book 5 and 6 on CD. Book 4 was so good and YES, I know I am very far behind because the last book is already out but I take my own time. I am still reading We Are The Mulvanies off of the opra book list from 2000. What a miserable book - it's sad and a slow read but now it has become a joke between my husband and I so I can't bring myself to finish it. Maybe I will just read 1 page year.

Last weekend was a busy one - Jason and I got cable, Internet, phone and a new bed! They are all great - especially the new bed!!! I also had Sarah's bachelorette party. That was a lot of fun but a little too much to drink by all so the night ended around 1:00 am and my brother-in-law was nice enough to come and pick me up. Jason was supposed to be my ride but he had too much to drink so he stayed at home with our sister-in-law and chatted. When I got home they too were pretty saucy....haaa.......haaaa!! The weekend was good but not much to report.

Oldest Friends

Today my mom sent me some pictures of a wedding shower we threw my oldest friend Sarah. We have been friends since we were in diapers and used to be neighbors. Sarah and her family moved when she was in elementary school and I was crushed. Who else was so fun and care free? Turns out not many people. Sarah is getting married to Wes Parrish on Sept. 29, 2007. They are a great couple and I am sure they will have a long happy life together. Sarah is a completely free spirit, a friend to all and is a very talented artist.

Here is me, Sarah, her sister Natalie and their mom Sally at my wedding.

They crack me up. As you can see Sally is wearing a napkin that was made into a hat.......Those hats have been around for a long time. When I graduated high school (in 1995) I moved to Athens, GA. Sarah came to visit me one weekend and I had not lived there long so I did not know the area very well. If anyone I know is reading this they know I have no sense of direction and those who have been to Athens know that Athens is not a large place. Anyway, Sarah and I ended up making sailor hats out of the many maps my dad used to make me carry in my car. We found a Dunkin Donuts that was probably 1 mile from the apartment I lived in and it took us about two hours to get home.........So, the home made hats have been around for a long time.
Here is a picture of me, Sarah and Sarah's friend Mel at Sarah and Wes's engagement party in Statesboro, GA.

We had so much fun - this was after many, many, many, many, many..............shots. See my trying to sign my bill? haaaa...haaaa!!!

Uh....Three Months Later

Well, it's been three months since my last blog. I thought I was going to have so much time to blog then all of a sudden I was slammed at work and super busy with the closing of my new house. I closed three very hard loans on Friday August 31 which is the worst day/date to close any loan. Friday and the last day of a month - awful. First of all if you don't close your loan on Friday the borrower will have to pay interest for Sat and Sun but since this was a three day weekend we really needed to get our loans closed. I got a call from my boss (on accident) after I left the office Friday - he was telling me how our regional manager, my boss and his partner along with some agents were taking shots of Bushmills.....you close a hard loan, you get to take a shot of Bushmills. That's how we roll.

My husband Jason and I closed on our first house on Tuesday August 21. It was a stressful but most exciting day! The week before we closed the market decided to take a turn for the worst and that added a little stress to our closing. Then Tuesday our wire did not go through until 5:00 pm that evening so we signed our documents at 10:30 am and got to look at the keys to our new house then they were put back into an envelope until the wire hit. I was in tears by 2:00 that afternoon because we had not heard anything. We understand we are very lucky to have a house and we worked our asses off saving for this house, buying furniture and paying off debt but going through that stress made it much much sweeter. Now we really understand how great we have it. We are so grateful for all of the help our families have given us and for the Fantastic house warming gifts! ;)

Jason and I have never been happier. We are closer as a couple and I think it 's because we are both so proud of each other. We kind of have a new found respect for each other - not that it wasn't there to begin with but it's just different. It's awesome. Once we get the internet I will post some pictures of the house and furniture. Next blog: our First Painting Purchase.........and Return.
