Miss Horton Hears A Who?

This weekend was so busy and productive! Friday we went to a friends wedding and it was so fun. It was a Persian wedding so there were some pretty cool dances and really neat traditions that I have never seen before. Everyone looked so pretty and those Persian women are the most beautiful women ever! Seriously, how do they stay looking so young? The Bride and Groom looked like they belonged with the beautiful people in Hollywood. We wish them a life time of happiness!

Saturday was my nephews birthday - Harrison turned 2 and he partied with 50+ of his closest friends. He is so cute!

After the birthday party Jason and Anders worked on the third bedroom that we are finishing up - they got the tile done in the bathroom, the sink is in and the toilet is working! Jason has hired two men to help him finish the rest so hopefully we will have a finished product by Sunday. I'll post before and after picts when its done. While the men were working on the room my mom and I put up some Elfa shelves in our closet which is in between the garage and the third almost finished bedroom. As my mom told the guys - they could not have all of the fun -

Truth be told, she did all of the work. I sat on the stairs and read directions to her, got her water, diet coke, whatever she needed.

Thanks for all of your help mom!!! The shelves are awesome!

I know you are wondering why the title of this post is Miss Horton Hears A Who? when all I am doing is talking about the "tasks" that were accomplished but I'm getting to it!

Sunday - Sarah and Wes came over so Sarah could paint Miss Horton on Alexis's wall. It turned out SO CUTE!!! She looks awesome! Unfortunately, my camera phone did not take the clearest picture but you get the gist - Sarah is such a good artist.

Thanks Sarah!!! We love Miss Horton and we know Alexis will too!

A friend of mine asked me to come over so we could make some onsies for little Alexis Grace. I said sure but thought what do you mean make onsies? She told me to purchase some onsies and just bring them over. Well, she had purchased some iron-on flowers and cute tutu looking ribbon. Here is what she meant by making onseis! So CUTE!

this one has iron-ons with puffy paint. I finally put it together tonight. how cute!

Here is our first onsie with a tutu.

here is the second one - they get better and better as we went along. I am so lucky to have such crafty friends!
